Dispatch 8: Winter Stories and 'Cripple'

sh11-cripple-150Paolo Ventura's exhibit Winter Stories at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art at the College of Charleston combines nostalgic circus scenes created in miniature and photography that challenges the viewer's ability to tell what's real. Museum Curator Mark Sloan explains the process. And two stars of Martin McDonagh's play The Cripple of Inishmaan, Clare Dunne and Tadhg Murphy stop by to talk about the dark comedy.

Correction: "Winter Stories" is the second art exhibit at the Halsey officially in the Spoleto Festival; the first was last year's "Call and Response" by Nick Cave and Phyllis Galembo.
